Problems
Here's some of the bad behavior my dogs perpetrate.
Eating stool (Coprophagia)
One of the grossest bad habits is the eating of stool.
I've tried pills you give them so their poop isn't so appealing.
(What's so appealing in the first place??) Lexi's first house didn't
have a fenced yard and the times I took her out on a leash I could pull her
leash if she got too close. But now she has a fenced yard which means I leave
her out more on her own. My only defense is to pound on the window if I see
"suspicious activity", which will get her attention. I've also thought of
using an electric collar, but the cost and they "cruelty rating" seem to
high to me.
Jumping on people
I'm still working on this one. It helps to have a bottle of
bitter spray to use when she jumps on people. Also, I have a choke
chain which I need to put on before people come over, but that's not
always easy as guest don't always give advanced notice.
